Saint Grace Summer 09 collection

Saint Grace is a clothing brand that I've never heard of till yesterday. At first I didn't wanted to look at the collection , because I received a lot of messages about it and I thought... well another clothing brand that doesn't offer something special. But believe me, when I saw the the collection of Saint Grace I really loved it, especially the dresses (I want to have them all, haha). I would describe the summer collection of Saint Grace as simple, elegant, feminin and classic. The biggest reason why I like the collection is beacuse the clothes are simple and in the summer I really like to keep my outfit simple combined with different accessoires. The collection contains something for everybody and is very easy to combine with other clothes.Take a look here at the summer collection and you'll see what I mean. Here are a few of my favorites items of the collection.





I soooooooo love the four dresses above

Saint Grace was launched in December 2001 in Los Angeles. The designer and owner of this faboulous brand is Quinn Thompson. The name SAINT GRACE refers to the designer favorite girl’s name, “Grace” – a name he hopes to give his first daughter. “Saint” was prefaced to illustrate his affection for Grace and his respect for women in general. One thing that stood out on the pictures was the fabric of the clothes. I saw that the fabric looked diffirent then usual, it looked very light and soft and perfect for summer. On the website (click here to visit the website) is written that every fabric used in the Saint Grace collection has been “tweaked” by Quinn Thompson so that no other brand has the same fabric. Celebs such as Katherine Heigl, Fergie, Katie Holmes, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Beckingsale, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Simpson have all been seen wearing Saint Grace.

Chloë Sevigny in June issue of Elle

Chloë Sevigny, the most beautiful actress with a classic look. In my opinion she is probably one of the greatest fashion icon of our time. Just as Dita von Tees her style appeals to me very much. So today I remembered this editorial of Chloe in Elle magazine that I really liked and I had to post it.

shopping with Lady Gaga

I love Lady Gaga, not only her music but also het style. She's probably not the only one with an over-the-top taste of clothing but so far she's the only one with futuristic, retro and ofcourse glamour combined style that I have ever seen and from the first time I saw pictures from her I liked her. The things she wears aren't ''new'' but are designers exclusive, vintage and couture pieces that are not daily wearable but Lady Gaga shows them daylight. I think that Lady Gaga is a walking couture doll and a trendsetter at this moment (the hair bow). My style (actually you can't call it a ''style''), is just the opposite, I like more basic and simple things and believe me I'm sure that a latex suit won't look good on me, haha, but I love watching other people wear something very diffirent from my style eventhough I don't like everything they wear, I still don't like Lady Gaga's pink knee boots I wrote about earlier.
I saw this two videos where Lady Gaga talks about her style one is with The Thread and one is with MySpace.

Well enjoy watching them and tomorrow I will show you something so cute that I made for myself. I worked on it a whole week, every night a bit and now I have swollen fingers from making it, but it's done and I love it.

This is the Christian Louboutin Fall-Winter 09/10 ad campaign. This amazing 18th century-esque campain that looks like true art is shot by photographer Peter Lippmann, styled by French Stylist Amandine Moine and the creative direction is done by Nicolas Menu.

Walk-in appartment

Ok, its a new month so that means that I have to post a new walk-in closet, but this time I'll do it differently. I saw pictures of oliva palermo's apartment and I just had to post them. If you watched The City you've probably seen her apartment a bit. The one thing I remember from seing Oliva's apartment on the show, is the Hermes tray that was placed on top of the coffee table, such a lovely idea! The apartment that is situated in Tribeca, New York, was decorated by her mother, interior designer, Lyn Hutchings.

O have you heard? Olivia left her job at Diane von Furstenberg and is now working at Elle.
